Sessions
Honestly? That's completely normal—and expected.
Children don't need to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera the entire time. My sessions are designed to let kids explore, play, cuddle, and simply be themselves. Some of the most meaningful images happen in those perfectly imperfect moments.
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T COOPERATE?
After booking, you'll receive a style guide filled with outfit tips and inspiration. Neutral tones, soft textures, and coordinating (rather than matching) outfits photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family. I'm always happy to help you choose outfits if you'd like a second opinion.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
The earlier, the better! I recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance for most sessions, especially during the busy spring and fall seasons. If you're hoping for a specific date, reaching out early gives you the best availability. However, I always welcome last-minute magic when booking.

I photograph throughout West Michigan and have a variety of favorite outdoor locations depending on the look you're hoping for. Whether you love beaches, open fields, downtown charm, wooded trails, or your own backyard, we'll choose a location that fits your family.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Your fully edited gallery will be delivered within approximately 2–3 weeks. During busy fall season, turnaround may be slightly longer, but I'll always keep you updated.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR GALLERY?
If Mother Nature doesn't cooperate, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date at no additional charge. Overcast skies often make for beautiful photographs, so we'll only postpone if conditions truly aren't ideal.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Absolutely! If you're including multiple families or extended relatives, I recommend booking an Extended Family Session so we have enough time to photograph everyone comfortably.
CAN WE INCLUDE GRANDPARENTS OR EXTENDED FAMILY?
Yes! Pets are part of the family too. Just let me know ahead of time so we can choose a pet-friendly location and plan accordingly.
CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?
Yes! Your online gallery includes access to professional-quality prints, framed artwork, and heirloom albums so your favorite memories can be enjoyed for years to come—not just stored on your phone.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR ALBUMS?
Your session includes access to a fully edited online gallery so you can view all of the best images from your session. You can expect at least 35 in your online gallery. You will be able to download all of them with no restrictions.
